The Oaklands Hotel is set in its own grounds on the outskirts of the medieval City of Norwich overlooking the beautiful Yare River Valley. This family owned hotel provides a welcome alternative to the corporate approach often found from the large hotel chains. Over the years the Oaklands has grown into one of Norfolk's top independent hotels providing a local feel and individual atmosphere. The hotel has 37 traditionally decorated bedrooms and 12 modern luxury lodges, ensuring the Oaklands caters for all.

Restaurants and Bars
The Oaklands Hotel has built up a strong reputation for its first class restaurant. We offer a frequently changing daily menu using the best local produce and we always have the ever popular carvery option available to our guests. In addition to the daily menu there is also the a la carte option, a more extensive selection of dishes devised by our creative chef team. We work hard to get our wines right, and you will find a diverse range from all that is best in the world of wine including a selection of both new world and old world favourites. The ambience is relaxed and informal and we do not operate a dress code but please respect fellow guests whilst dinning with us. The restaurant is air-conditioned and we operate a non-smoking policy, however you can of course enjoy a cigarette or cigar in the bar adjacent to the restaurant. Over the years we have built up a large local following for the restaurant and it is always sensible to make a reservation particularly at the weekend, with Sunday lunches being very popular.
